As the Tacoma enters its fourth generation, new changes come with it. Along with updating the powertrain, tech, and trims, this midsize pickup also gets a body-on-frame TNGA-F platform. Now, Tacoma offers better towing. Inside and out, the new Tacoma impresses at every turn. So, to learn more about it, keep reading or shop at Toyota of Fayetteville.

What’s New About the Tacoma?

One of the biggest additions to the new Tacoma is the Trailhunter trim. This off-road centric model features 33-inch off-road tires, high ground clearance, and skid plates. There’s also a powerful i-Force Max powertrain, which allows for solid performance across any terrain.

Also updated this year is Tacoma’s cab space. Every model benefits from an increase in seating position along with added headroom. Now, drivers won’t feel like they’re sitting on the floor. Also, the dash is now made from nicer materials and features higher-resolution screens. A seven-inch gauge cluster and eight-inch touchscreen are standard, but higher models feature a 12.3-inch gauge and optional 14.0-inch display.

Under the hood, you’ll also find a new powertrain. The 2.7-liter four-cylinder and optional 3.5-liter V6 have been removed. In their place is a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. The new powertrain, found in every Tacoma, comes in two forms. The entry-level output is 228 hp, while the remaining lineup, with its i-Force variant, produces 278 horsepower. All models also come with an eight-speed automatic or a six-speed manual transmission.
