Toyota recently unveiled a new battery electric vehicle (BEV): the Toyota bZ4X. This all-electric crossover kicks off the bZ (beyond zero) lineup, with more electric vehicles to follow. Toyota is a leader in renewable energy performance, with 10 hybrids and one fuel cell sedan. This commitment to green performance will not go away any time soon. The brand has already announced it will unveil 15 new BEVs and several more hybrids/plug-in hybrids. Learn more about the new Toyota bZ4X here at Toyota of Fayetteville.

What is "bZ?"

The name "bZ" refers to "beyond zero" when it comes to carbon emissions. The bZ4X is the first car from Toyota to eliminate the gas engine in favor of electric performance. This crossover runs on an electric motor/battery pack similar to those of existing Toyota hybrids. It also features a standard all-wheel drive, which adds a secondary motor to the rear axle. This second motor helps deliver torque to the rear wheels as needed to help keep your vehicle gripped. Drivers will have the ability to travel further miles before charging up their car. When you need a charge, you will find many inexpensive charging stations in the Fayetteville area.

Committed to Green Performance

Toyota remains all-in when it comes to renewable energy performance in its cars. The brand plans to distribute 70 new green models internationally within the next four years. Fifteen of these new cars will belong to the all-electric BEV collection. Toyota as a whole plan on bringing its entire business model up to 100 percent carbon neutrality by 2050.
