Toyota Camry and Avalon to Gain Traction with All-Wheel Drive

Toyota recently announced that two of its sedans would receive all-wheel-drive: the Camry and Avalon. More and more car companies these days turn to all-wheel-drive with the rising number of SUV sales. While it might not come available on other sedans, Toyota aims to boost safety on their sedans. The Toyota Avalon and Camry will soon have Dynamic Torque Control All-Wheel-Drive. These sedans will hit the streets around spring 2020, so stay tuned! You can find both Toyota sedans and many others at Toyota of Fayetteville. Visit us at 1352 West Showroom Drive in Fayetteville, AR.

Intelligent All-Wheel-Drive

Toyota's AWD system can balance traction with gas mileage to save energy. Its Dynamic Torque Control system prevents slipping while reducing drag. The system keeps an optimal grip on any surface without wasting energy, thus, saving fuel. The system uses sensors to monitor road conditions as you drive. When it detects loss of traction, it can direct up to 50 percent of torque to the rear wheels. When driving in normal weather conditions, the AWD system switches back to front or rear-wheel-drive as needed. Unlike many other AWD systems, Dynamic Torque Control works smartly to keep you safe.

By spring 2020, many versions of the Camry and Avalon sedans will have AWD. However, their cabin space and truck space will stay the same. You will not have to sacrifice something important for extra traction! Each AWD model comes with the Cold-Weather Package as an option. This upgrade package adds features to help cope with cold weather. Such features include heated front seats, heated outside mirrors, and a heated steering wheel.
