Appearance
On the exterior, the 2022 Toyota Tundra has flared wheel fenders connected via a prominent feature on the lower door panels. The premium grille is outlined by chrome on the nose, and it drops down to the bumper for a commanding look. The LED headlights and taillights add to the individuality of the Tundra.
Features
Inside the cabin, you will find high-quality materials mixed with advanced technologies. The base trim level has a 4.1-inch driver’s display screen and an 8-inch central display screen. Respectively, these bump up to 12.3-inches and 14 inches in higher trim levels. Additional interior features are Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, voice recognition, a dual-zone climate management system, an updated sound system, functional controls on the steering wheel, and more.
Performance
Under the hood, the V8 from the 2021 model year is gone. For 2022, there are two V6 options. One of these is a twin-turbo 3.5-liter gas engine that generates 389 horsepower. The other is a hybrid variant that produces 437 net horsepower. Both of these are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The 2022 Tundra’s suspension system has also been revamped with rear coil springs to improve your time behind the wheel. In addition, the hydraulic power steering that was standard in the 2021 Tundra has been replaced with electric power steering.
